Thousands expected that, after long years of waiting, to finally get on board of the new Budapest metro number 4. The fourth metro line of the capital of Hungary, Budapest was inaugurated on March 28, 2014, Friday. How did the people receive this brand new subway line? Read our article:

There was no one among the passengers, who had not liked the new metro line. 

A lot of people, also from the countryside, arrived to the capital, so without exaggeration, thousands were waiting for the big moment to be let in to the platforms decorated with mosaics and glasses. 

Everyone was praising its speed, cleanliness, and beautifully finished stocks. Some people travelled targeted by the metro, but there were some who landed by every stop to admire it.

The concept of the underground railway is inferred to the name of Siemens and Halske company which was accepted by the Council of Public Works on the condition that the Metro would be completed by the 1896 Millennium celebrations. The idea and implementation of an underground railway construction is as old as the birth of London's underground railway. The construction of the very first underground construction began in 1860, and was completed in 1863. 

The last decades of the 19th century was a decisive period regarding the development of Budapest. The most outstanding work in the development of the city is the metro line number 1, the first underground railway. Indeed, would it be the very first in the world? Well, it would be difficult to answer.

The Millennium Underground in Budapest's first underground railway in the continent was released to the general public on May 2, 1896 , and have been providing services until today without major disruptions .
